Where a light is burning!

The emergency is broken

We live 75km east of Sarnia, where one comes via the Blue Water Bridge to USA. The Highway 402 leads close to us over and out there.

It was snowing again so bad that this motorway and many more roads and highways are blocked. Alone on the highway put a lot of people stuck in their vehicles. With such a weather, even the good Winterräumtechnik and Cowboys do anything. Due to the continuous snowfall and strong winds, the visibility is zero.

Police, fire and rescue volunteers what's all. take with helicopter or even the very courageous people with their ski-doo's (snowmobiles) to safety.

The churches in our next town of Strathroy are already full and tomorrow are the gyms of the colleges used.

bring people in Strathroy food and blankets in the church. Not because they were encouraged, but simply because it is a given here. I remember when we lived in England. Sonja was two years old and Stephen was a baby. We were in London and had returned to Salisbury. Heading surprised us a brutal snowstorm. For England rather unusual. it was already night and we could not continue and will not be returned. You could see nothing except a faint light in the distance. We did not know what it was. Was it a car or something. My husband is executed to run and came back with the good news, it's a house. We could stay there, like many other travelers. There were just mattresses and blankets laid on the floor and gathered to eat whatever she could. Hot tea and do the next day we could go home. I often think of that evening ... what if ...? early last Week we had here in the area very much snow. In some places here in the southwest, up to 1.70 mtr It was a total snowfall as usually reported in a half of winter. Shopping malls and schools were closed. On weekends, thawed and made room for this thrust. In some places the snow is already up high 2mtr. Our magnolia tree outside the window. I obviously find it again first. So great that I could not wait until tomorrow to go out. Even the darkness kept me from not.

Why not even a few snow-at-night photos.

The road had to be shoveled free the first time. branches covered with snow. something cool for a pick-nick. Afterwards, my boots were filled with white powder ... wonderful!

Good night!
